Global Biological Resource Centre Network
This project is supported by the German Federal Ministry of Research and Education (BMBF) following work in the OECD to improve access to high quality biological resources and information to support research and biotechnology as a platform for a knowledge-based bioeconomy.
Governance via an Advisory Board including IUMS, FEMS and JBA.
Regular OECD WPB Secretariat and GBRCN Secretariat liaison.
Collaboration with existing networks such as ACM, ECCO, WFCC plus stakeholders and users.
Microorganisms preserved, characterised and supplied to meet international criteria; authentic and validated associated information; supplied in a common legal framework.
